“Moving 6,000 items to 3 new warehouse cabinets, to be honest, we didn’t know where to start,” says Tino Groeneveld, Operations Manager. “It’s a good thing that Jan came on board as soon as we chose Kardex, to tackle this efficiently. We started by measuring all parts. To do this, we were able to rent Jan’s measuring equipment and he also guided our employees for half a day during the measurements. Throughout this process he always remained available for questions. Jan processed the data into a virtual warehouse layout that became our guideline during the actual move.

On the moving days, 15 colleagues emptied the old warehouse in a systematic manner. Jan and two other colleagues placed the parts in the intended locations in the new storage cabinets. That went very smoothly: we started at 5 pm on Friday and finished at 12 pm on Saturday!”
